Ian is a lifelong photographer and the founder of Babehaven, a queer-inclusive boudoir studio built on empowerment, pleasure, and play. After over a decade of working as a librarian, they left their career to pursue photography full-time, driven by a craving for creative freedom and joy. Their work celebrates self-expression, transformation, and the beauty of showing up as your full, unfiltered self. Known for creating affirming, artful experiences for clients of all genders and body types, Ian brings both intention and irreverence to every shoot.

Boudoir as Liberation
Boudoir is a liberatory practice. It reconnects people with their erotic power, which Audre Lorde described as a wellspring of self-knowledge and agency. That kind of power is dangerous to harmful systems that benefit from our silence and self-doubt. When someone experiences being fully seen with care and consent, it reshapes what they’ll accept in the rest of their life. Once your body knows what safety and freedom feel like, that experience becomes a beacon towards a more joyful way of being. That’s what I want Babehaven to offer—transformation through play, vulnerability, and deep self-connection.

No, no, and absolutely not. Boudoir is about celebrating the body you have, right now. All bodies are good bodies.

Up to personal preference, you can be as clothed or as naked as you like.

🎞️ How do I choose my photos after the session?
After your photo session, there will be a personalized reveal appointment to review your photos with the photographer and make your selections.
